Default Candid of my grandson

This was simply a snapshot that I took of my grandson after Thanksgiving dinner. I cropped it on both right and left, and removed a distraction that was on the wall (photo left). There was no exposure or color correction done, and no sharpening added. Do you think any of that is necessary? Editing (Photoshop CS 5.5) was done using the RAW file which included selecting the lens profile and Camera Portrait profile. And no, there IS no top of his head to have left in the final composition. Do you find that to be an issue?

The biggest issue I have is with the harsh looking flash and the color seems off....

Point taken on the flash. It was bounced and I did use a diffuser however. What do you see as the color being off? Too warm? Too cool?
