Default Kids Portrait 2

Here is another attempt at bokeh portrait. Today while my daughter was playing near the door, I noticed that the light was quite nice so I quickly grab my camera and try to applied some of the suggestions and comments that I've learned. Here are some things I did:

1. I shot in manual mode with 1/200 shutter speed and higher aperture of f3.2. ISO 400 and with flash.
2. I focused on the eye or between the eyes.
3. In hope to create a more blurry background I shot near to my daughter and put her at a farther distance to the door/background.

Out of many shots, I think I like this one the best. Please let me know what you think and what other things could I improve on?

Lovely photo, and you did well in creating the bokeh. The subject is crisp and clean. I'm not sure that the crumb in her mouth works for me, at first glance I thought her tooth was falling out! I like the way she's not centred, however, because her body is turned to the right, I would have left space on the right of her, not the left. That way she's turned into the middle of the photo, not to the edge.
Keep up the good work!

MUCH better!

Cute kid, too.

She's nicely exposed, in perfect focus (from what I can tell) and some nicely blurred background too to separate her.

While usually having her towards the left side of the picture with more open space to the right, I do think it works the way you have it here. Had she been over to the left, the left (camera left) eye would have seemed too close to the edge for my liking. The way it is now, it is closer to center and I don't feel like I'm constantly pulling my eye towards the edge of the picture.

Excellent second attempt!

LOL. I will keep in mind that some information in the photo might be confusing to the viewers if they're not aware of what's going on. I thought that the crumb was the funny part because I was bribing her to sit still by giving her her favorite snack.

I've also actually just watch a video about which side to leave more empty space. However, her right side is the door/wall. When it's possible next time I will pay more attention to where to put the empty space. Thanks.
