I did a shoot with my son yesterday and I'm hoping for some tips from you guys. What do you think about the subject, background or post production?

Just so you know, I posted these in SYS as well, but didn't get any feedback, so I thought I would try here

Hi

Subject of course very cute

I think the main challenge you have set for yourself is using the red blanket. Bright colours can give colour casts on the skin - and indeed have for you here. Next time he is willing to cooperate, perhaps try a neutral or black blanket.

Post your exif, and you will get more help

Thanks Nicola!! I did look at taking the red down a bit in post, but to me it washed him out and made him look ashy. I suppose red is a horrible color for a baby shoot, I'll avoid it next time, it was just the first thing I grabbed

I used Flikr links so anyone could go pull the exif's, but here are the basic info for them rather than editing my post.

When hand holding your camera, aim to keep your ss at least 1/60th second. Any lower you will get motion blur.

By opening up your aperture if your lens allows, you will get in more light and produce more bokeh (blur) if you want to for eg focus just on his feet.
