Default Bare Belly Beauty

I'm new on DPS forums but not new to photography!
This is from a session I did back in April...I would like any general thoughts/comments but especially about the exposure.
This was from the end of the shoot so we were losing light and with her belly showing, I feel like it's a little bright.

no the expo is fine, but the composition it not, maybe the model turned and shot from a side, and what is with that high ISO

I don't find the exp too bright. I do think it would help to have some fill light on her left side (our right) to lighten the shadow a touch. This could be done either by turning the model into the light more or using a reflector to bounce back the light in the shaded area on her body. For a crop sensor camera the focal length here is great for portraits. I would have used the widest aperture possible as to blur the background. I find it distracting to have those lines and details of the background almost as sharp as the model herself. It looks as though you have ISO set to -Auto in your camera. I'm pretty sure the d3100 likes to use the highest ISO when Auto is set (don't know why). Especially with a wider aperture you could have gotten away with ISO 200 or maybe 400 here. I'm curious as to what the shutter speed was. Really like the picture and pose.

I don't feel it is an exposure problem per se. She has vee shaped tan lines coming down her chest while the area exposed by the narrow shoulder straps and belly have not.

I am not a lighting expert so I'll not comment on that.

The pose works for me.

I too am curious why the hish ISO and f6.3. If you were losing light could you not open the apeture more? Were you already wide open for the lens you were using? Your shutter speed was fast enough to stop her hair that was moving in the wind.

I like this shot.

I'll try and find out what the shutter speed was and let you know!
As for the ISO: I'm really terrible about changing it based on what I'm shooting. During a shoot, I'm typically more concerned with my aperture and shutter speed settings. I'm pretty sure it was probably on Auto but I just dont know! I took this picture back in April so there's no telling!
I really need to take time to learn my camera better!
