I agree, the shadows under her nose are not flattering.Use a reflector.
Altho it might be ok for some, i find that her chest is the focal point when it should be her face

Thanks guys, yea the shadows are intentional and I'm falling in love with shadows and learning to control the thickness and length of them while showing that in a photo.

Why f8 and 100iso?
The whole shot looks underexposed.. there is no light in her eyes. It looks unprocessed, and has a raw feel to it, combined with the weak lighting leaves the whole shot feeling flat. Windrider is right.. the shadow under her nose looks like a Hitler moustache. She's also right that most appealing light gradient is on her chest. It could do with some seperation from the background, imo.. rim light wouldn't go amiss at all, and neither would cleaning up those errant hairs over her ear. Leaning into the camera at such a focal length gives a feeling of distortion which is rarely flattering for a girl, and while with some popping contemporary processing, you could pull it off, the lack of leaves it just feeling off. |
