I just had a question on the crop of this photo. Usually I like to have the entire object in the photo and not have it cut off but this is the shot I took and I really liked it at first and now am not sure if it looks strange with the front of the boat missing. I do not know if i am just over analyzing please help!

From 365 day project

Model Canon EOS REBEL T2i
ISO 100
Exposure 1/400 sec
Aperture 6.3
Focal Length 57mm
Flash Used no

Actually, let me elaborate.. If you are going to cut part of an object out, make it look like it was 100% intentional. The current crop looks like it might have been a mistake. Cropping out more might change that though

I dont think the crop is that bad. Although it depends on if you are taking a picture of the boat, the people in the boat or the people in the boat looking like they are about to get thier backsides wet :0) Although either way...it would need to be more centered on the intended object.
