Here is a shot from a recent shoot I did with a precious little girl that did not slow down I really had to work for every shot I got! This is one of my favorites and would appreciate any and all CC. Specifically, how is the lighting and composition?

I love everything about it except the top of her bow/head is cut off. The colors are awesome though!

I love the pose, the catchilights in her eyes and the lighting. I don't like that her head was cut off and the bottom also cuts off at a point were I want to see more of her dress. I would crop it so that the black ruffles would not show.

I agree with the above posts . as soon as the shot opened the crop on the head was really obvious i like the out of focus background and the composition is good (although the gate slightly competes for attention ) i personally found the colours a bit to bright but thats just me . .nice expression you did well to pin her down and catch this shot kids are notoriously hard to capture . . well done !

Thanks guys! Sadly the image SOOC cuts off the top of her bow/head, she was walking almost running towards me so I had to take what I could get Would it work better if I cropped in tighter and completely removed the bow?

I like brighter images so that was my doing in PP.

I think bright images work well for kids. I wouldn't have gone darker because I would be afraid of losing the detail in her eyes. For the cropping though, I have to agree about the dress. I'd crop it close to the edge of that pink flower and then clone whatever is left of the ruffles out. I would leave the bit of bow in as I think it adds character to the shot.

Just my opinion on a picture WAY better than I could capture! All in all a cute one!

I like the brightness of the image, as well as her expression, the catchlights and composition...but the whole image looks kinda yellow on my end...not sure if it's just me though?
