Default Tying new Elincrom D-4 lights

This is a self portrait using my new Elinchrom D4 light kit. One on my left was aimed at the backgrounf sheet I had hung up and the second one was with a beauti dish positioned to my right almost directly in front of me. I also used a silver refelctor which I was holding just about waste high on an angle towards my face.I used a D700 with a 24-70 lens. This was taken after several days of playing with the position of the lights and amount of flash used. For an inexpensive light system these work great .

I like the effect that you got, but I think you stood too close to the background so that strobe aimed at the background spilled some light on your left shoulder and didn't reach the background's right side.

btw, post your EXIF data - it will help up help you.

I love the lighting on your face and the post work done. What throws me is the vertical band of light striking the background and your shoulder. What is that? Was it intentional or a mistake?

It was a mistake in a couple of ways. One the light to close and secondly trying to correct it in LR.
