Hello there and welcome to the critique section

Just as a word of advice, your photo is just a little bit too big. You may want to read the critique forum rule so that you know the maximum file size you can post here:

In regards to your photo, I think you've done a great job. Look at that great smile! Great moment you captured and you can't help by smile, too, looking at him. You've got his eyes in focus which is good. I don't know how other people will find the tone in your image, but I do like it. It has this old vintage feel to it and I think it suits the image.

Maybe the only thing I can think of that you may want to think about for next time is composition. He is quite centred in this photo and I think it would have been better if he wasn't. He doesn't need to be strictly placed as the rules of thirds would say, but off centre would have been better regardless.

The orange stripes on his shirt I think is just a little bit too bright. This may have been caused by the edit (did you raise the reds in editing or added filter layer in red tone)?

Anyhoo, that's all. Great job again and looking forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

Cheers,

Grace

Wonder why is it said that the subjects expression can make or break a photo The expression you have captured is awesome.. very natural. I like the warm feel to the photo.
