Little Girl on a Sunny Day

Hello - this is my first post/critique! I am so excited to hear what you all have to say! This is a photo of my new sister in law (funny isn't it!?). We were at the pumpkin patch and I decided to try snap something when she wasn't expecting resulting in this wonderful dream like expression!

It was a very sunny day out and I was having trouble getting the lighting on her face to be flattering. I am wondering how you would have set the shot up - looking back I probably should have changed to f2.8 - thoughts? Anything else?

nice photo! Only thing I might do is crop it to just cut out her right arm. The arms cut at the elbows is bothering me a bit but that is personal opinion. keep shooting and welcome!
