It tells me a story. Nice moment captured.

Personally I would have shot with a wider apeture to decrease the DOF to get some blur in the background allowing for the subjects to pop a bit better. I would also try a crop with a bit more negative space for the child to swim into and maybe see the rest of his arms to include the hands. Dad's face is almost dead center.
