To be honest, some parts seem almost over exposed, like his arm. It's a little difficult to tell with the black and white.

I realize that he's a newborn and therefore hard to pose, but the composition doesn't work for me personally. And you've cut off his fingers =(

Lastly, the vingette is a little strong. Less is more with vingette.

What exposure method are you using? Perhaps your camera has too much control over the settings?

I think I like his expression. Things around his head are distracting and vignetting is harming the image. You may try to get better focus and some contrast, especially if you want to do B&W
