This is my first time really trying to mimic a studio portrait. The grandparents were a bit upset that I didn't buy school photos so I'm trying to appease them.
I would like critique on the pose and the lighting, please. ![]() EXIF: Camera Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT Exposure 0.005 sec (1/200) Aperture f/2.8 Focal Length 60 mm ISO Speed 100 Exposure Bias 0 EV Exposure Program Manual

What a lovely shot with a lovely girl. Gotta love the no teeth look!
Pose- She may be juuuust a bit slouched. Lighting- My VERY non professional eye is telling me a hair too bright at the brow line between the eyes. She is so very fair skinned so I'm sure it is very difficult to do it right. Those are just nitpiks in my opinion. I really like the shot.

Tito, I used strobes and a backdrop to 'mimic' the look of a studio portrait. I always do pictures outside
![]() HCH, she was slouching badly, I kept having to tell her to straighten up. Thank you both.

If the question was "does this pass for a portrait stdio shot" well, yes, quite easily it does, so nice job
![]() +1 on the pose.. though you seem to have maintained detail in your highlights, so a tiny backwards adjustment in exposure is probably all you need. |
