Default Portraits not sharp enough??

Hi,
I just recently started with the digital photography after working as a photographer a quite few years ago with a film camera so any help would be very much appreciated now. Please have a look at my photos and tell me what you think.
I actually find the photos a bit blurry but don't know what the problem might be.
From for_online_use_only

Thank you for your opinion in advance.
xo Eva

were these shot handheld?
you're shooting at 1/60 and if it's handheld it can creates blurry photos because of the slow shutter speed.

Yeah, short answer is that your shutter speed needs to be faster, or you need a tripod or you need better hand-holding technique.

Also, in the future, can you read the critique posting rules to help us help you.
