Default Failed first attempt

Hi,

My first attempt was a complete failure so here goes no 2. I took in all the critique from the first pic and tried to fix on this pic.

Please give me input on what you think of the picture.

The composition in this is better than your previous one. You haven't cropped her off anywhere awkward. You've got her slightly off to the right, although I'd probably like to see her a bit more to the right.

As far as processing goes, there's a blown highlight on her shirt that's pulling my view from her face. A little recovery or reducing the exposure could help with that. Her skin tone is really pink. Pulling back on the magenta in the white balance could tone that down. The vignette is kind of noticeable, which is a little distracting. If you wanted to tone down the brightness of the green behind her, you could possibly reduce the luminance of the green channel in Lightroom. Look at the HSL tab in the develop module.

I'd try to brighten her eyes up a bit. Either with a fill light or adjustment brush in LR.

Awesome shot. Couple of things:

1) Too much detail in the background. Next time have the model stand a few in front of the tree or any other thing. Then position yourself a few feet away from the model. This will throw the background slightly out of focus.

2) Use a reflector to provide some fill light from the left side to remove the shadows.

3) Position the shot more based on golden mean than rule of thirds. this will give you a better impact and will make the subject look nicer.

Good job!!! Keep up the good work. Check out my website for some examples.
