Default My first attempt

Hi,

Kindy give me input on the picture below. I am new at taking photo's and editing them. This was done in Lightroom and I want to know if I'm on the right track atleast. I like the bright look of pictures and that is what I was trying to achieve with the editing.

I don't know if it is my monitor, but the WB looks way off. If that is the look you were going for, then, never mind.

Maybe ease off the saturation a little (or a lot).

Agreed with the previous posters. She's hot pink, the other colors are all way oversaturated, and there are loads of blown spots. Can you post a SOOC?

I agree with everyone above, also the light seems a little harsh, washing parts of her face and shoulder out, maybe try a diffuser.

Definitely the lighting is a whole 'nother issue. A diffuser wouldn't help - moving the subject to another area would. There is harsh light across her face and pinlights in her eyes from the flash.

To the OP: Moving your subject into an area where there is no direct sunlight hitting her (such as open shade) would have really helped. The post processing is just exacerbating that. Still hoping you'll post a SOOC.

Default bright is nice

I like the brightness of the colors but the skin tones are too unnaturally magenta. There are overexposed areas where the sun hits that draw attention away from the adorable face.

Agreed...too saturated. Looks like she's wearing make up. Would love to see the SOOC shot
