Give him back his hairline?

This is my first attempt at trying to get rid of some crazy blow out, I think it's going ok but how the hell do I give him some of his hair line back? I tried cloning, puppet warping/transforming, but I just can't figure it out. I think I'm going to scrape this edit and start fresh, I overdid a bunch of stuff, but I rly want to figure out the hair thing lol. Here's the original.

I love the edit and love the expression on his face. The color is nice and warm. Nicely in focus

In all honesty, I think that the edit with the blow out adds something artistic to the photo, like an edge catchlight. However, if you do want to try to fix the photo, one option is to duplicate the opposite side of his face, flip it and try to blend it in to the side that's missing.

Hmm that's interesting, maybe I'll make an two edits, one with the blowout and one without and see what people prefer?
