i'm quite pleased with this photo in it's composition but i would like some critique on what you think of the lighting, B&W conversion, etc...

Maybe it's just me, but both the hand and the glasses seem a little soft. For me, I'd love to see the glasses nice and sharp since that's what is drawing my eyes in. I've got thing about hands and like to see them nice and sharp in pics like these, but not necessarily required.
As for the composition, I really like what you did here. The black and white works nicely. |

The B&W really looks good in this photo. It works for some photos, and other photos, it doesn't. I think it works really good for this one.
![]() I agree with Ridgetop, though, the hand and glasses look a little soft. You can try fixing that with the 'sharpness' or 'clarity' tools on your editing program. And good title, this picture really does give the impression of 'just chilling...'
