I think the second image really stands out in quality, you were right on the dot with the eyes. The first I like his expression lol. I'm not a huge B&W fan so I'll leave those to others. Good Job TFS

Default 4th Picture

Len: I love your 80mm len. I have only 18-55mm VR KIT Len f3.5-5.6

Sense of 3D: Yes, blur effect enhance the sense of depth

Diagonal line : Think their heads as a point. Draw a line from head to head, forming a pretty diagonal line, from left top edge to bottom right edge.. The road is forming beautiful diagonal line.

Framing: Following the rule of golden mean, 1:1.61 ratio. The right child should be given 2/3 of the space while the left child 1/3, making it harmony of framing. Also, the rigth child will not block the left child.

Horizontal line: almost 1/2... ???

Tone composition: Notice that the left child with very light tone shirt, and the bush on left top is very dark tone. Putting the left child on the 1/3th not only meet the rule of third, golden mean, but also tone contrast. They will be greater composition. Great compositon of the right child's head on the light tone shirt of the 2nd child.

Shape composition: The dark tone bush on both side forming two symetric triage shape pattern.. wow. nice.

Sematic: Very meaningful picture where, we know the small child (right) is chasing her/his sister/brother.. (SOrry, I don't want to spend time to identify their sex).

This pic is absolutely suitable for monochrone image as it is full of lines, and shape.. look at the ground.. wow. Those lines could be more diagnonally if you do the above framing.

I believe that you fail to freeze the motion 100%. Increase the shutter speed.

2nd pic: Oh my god, i guess you are using flash on your grand baby... For babies, flash should be avoided!!!!!! Guide number =43 feet for D90, and it is quite a powerful flash that harm babies.

Again, i just start learning how to take photo. Starting by critizing photo ....I redo later about the comment.
