Smile How can I improve in framing and lighting?

Really want some valuable critic comments from u all ....
How can I improve in the framing and the lighting ? How can I make more use of the light here?

This is my early days at DPS, hence the problem. I have updated the post. Is it ok now ? Or do I need to change anything more ?

I am a newbie.

I like this photo. It's got good feeling in it. Although I wonder what the blue thing is? Was the boy hugging another person? It's a little distracting but I assume unavoidable.

I might be tempted to doge the young boy's eyes a little, to make them pop a little more, and maybe doge the shadows just a smidge on the older gents face. I thought you did a great job of not letting the light blow the features out. TFS
