Default Self Portrait Week 4, white background with fill light

Anger

Camera Pentax K10D
Exposure 0.167 sec (1/6)
Aperture f/3.5
Focal Length 18 mm
ISO Speed 140

I decided to do something a little more serious this week. I was driving home from playing golf yesterday and I looked in the rearview mirror and noticed my squinting eyes from the sun and my sun beaten face made me look very angry, so I hurried home attempting to keep that frame of mind and took this picture.

I opened the blinds behind me and placed a fill small diffused light in front me. I metered for my face and took the picture, this is obviously cropped down to it current position.

My questions are...

Is the side of my face too blown out or does make a decent transition into the solid white.
Does the crop work for the dramatic effect? Angry that is?
Is the white background a distraction?
