Default First real edit attempt.

So this is my first attempt at fully editing a portrait shot. I have not a clue where the crazy orange cast is from in the original, there was no artificial lighting only natural filtered though a window so I'm a bit lost there. Also this is pretty much the only second I got to snap him before that box was strewn aside so I know the light on his right is blown but I wanted to see what I could do. Anyways what do you think of the edit?

Is there any way to repair his neck and ear?

Thanks all!!.

Did you check the WB setting in your camera?

Yeah that's where I get a bit confused, I did a few test shots while he was opening the wrapping. Usually tungsten works best in this place (my mom's home), however the lights weren't on yet, this was around 6:15. With the test shots this, which is cloudy, ended up looking pretty much spot on when metered off his skin. Then he tore open the wrapping and all hell broke loose and apparently infected my camera. I feel like I must have metered off the blown out side of his face when I actually took the shot, /sigh live and learn.

I think that might've been the problem. You said that you had the WB set to tungsten, and you were shooting with the light coming through the window.

I had it set to Cloudy actually (normally I use Tungsten in that setting though), but yeah I think it was still the same scenario....I really must start integrating a gray card in.
