Working on doing my own portraits on my family and soon will be taking pics for a family friend and her family. Do you think the lighting is ok or is it too dark? Is the background too distracting? For portraits, should they be more central or do they need to be on the rule of thirds crop. And finally, overall what do you think of the portrait? I tried not to pose my son, I just let him do whatever, and this is the result. Thanks for your critique!

I like it! What a cutie
I like the lighting and the background is not distracting at all. I like when the kiddos look like they are having fun.
