Default Newest Nephew Cole

This is my niece Emily and her baby brother, Cole. Is the b & w conversion too "muddy"? I had it too bright at one point, but I think I like this one. I didn't want it in color because his skin was so red that first day and I thought this moment would be better in b & w.

untitled (2 of 2)

Exposure 0.017 sec (1/60)
Aperture f/4.0
Focal Length 35 mm
ISO Speed 800
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Flash On, Return detected
I used my sb600 flash bounced off the ceiling.

I see a lot of views but no critiques. Is the picture as good as I think it is? Their mother loves it!

I like it. a really nice and emotional moment
the B&W conversion is good IMO.
there is something on the right that is a bit distracting for me but I guess it was a candid moment that you caught and couldn't have planned it.
really nice

Thank you Mr. Jones! Yeah, on the right was my other niece's arm and I couldn't crop enough to get rid of it without cutting the baby out more. The critiques I get on this forum are really helping and I appreciate all of them!
