Hi all these guys are planning how to ride the waves in San Panchito beach Nayarit, Mexico

Can you please critic composition & opportunity?

Looks very flat, and looks like totally unedited. I would bump up the contrast, and then that should make it a bit darker then make the brightness level a bit higher and balance out the lighting based on the added on contrast.

As for composition, even though you can't really control it as this photo does look candid (to me) the dog is a bit distracting from what he/she's doing, but as for the people they seem to be having a conversation. Nothing realllly interesting, I would have waited a bit longer for something more interesting activity before snapping a shot if its candid.
