Default Aunt + Niece

Here's a picture of my sister with our niece, Madison. I wanted critiques on lighting and composition. Also, does it seem over processed to you?

it looks like there is some noise in the dark areas. What ISO were you using or was the noise created after post-processing?

What a sweet looking couple they are! Both are equally beautiful. Nice composition and the lighting works for me.

My untrained eye sees two issues needing to be addressed. There is flash refelction in the infant's eyes. The infant is lighter skinned than the aunt and so the pink blanket, creeper and headpiece with the light background all wash out the infant a tad.

I'd be proud to hang that at my house.

I used ISO 800. I saw the noise too and tried to do some noise reduction, but I guess it didn't work out.

Thanks Hill Country Hack

It's a fabulous shot aprt from a little noise - and I like the catchlights in the infants eyes. Nice work!

I agree, catchlight in the eyes is a good thing.
Very cute photo, it doesn't look over processed to me.

Great shot! Amazing smile and eyes! Love this photo and wonder what the 2x3 ratio uncropped photo looks like. Just something I don't like about square photos...anyways. A little darker on the little one's face would help a lot. Don't want to loose that good detail. Otherwise great shot.
p.s. be careful shooting people so close with such a wide lens.

Thanks so much guys! I agree some parts look a bit washed out, but for some strange reason I sort of like that look in this shot I appreciate you guys feedback.

Having seen a few of your images on here...make sure the model (not the baby) is looking into the lens. Eye contact is important!
