Default Over-processed?

I was just playing around with my nephews this weekend and I really liked this one. Did I go too far with processing?

I don't think so. I think it looks fine. But, there's an orange crumb on the left side of his face that could probably be removed with Photoshop; unless you wanted it there.

Duh! The orange crumb removed...sometimes I miss the most obvious things. Thank you!

Nope, I don't see anything obvious so you must have done fine.

it looks good to me except for right under his eyes. Not sure if it is just naturally lighter there, he has a tan from sunglasses or if the exposure or brighting tool was used too much to adjust the eyes. I only say this because they are a tad distracting to me. Otherwise a wonderful shot!

Hmmm, yes..another good observation. I did not brighten the eyes...just daily use of swim goggles. Should I darken them?

The eyes got me too! I thought you used dodge and burn to bring skin back from otherwise bright photograph. You use an shadow highlight or fill light in camera raw?

it looks like it is exactly what she said it was, a tan line from swim goggles. This should be pretty easy to fix up. I like the shot regardless.
