Just wondering on this shot of 2 sisters. I used an edit in Picnik called 'cinemascope' that gives it a gritty 50's 60's films feel. Does it work? Any other observations?

I really like it, it looks great. Not too crazy about the frame though.

very nice, the effect fits the picture and gives it a nice look.
the focus seems fine in the larger version, they are both sharp enough and you managed to catch them in the air without any blurs cause of the fast shutter speed.
the only thing that is a bit bothering me is the raccoon eyes.. it would have been nice to get some light in their eyes but it's not that easy with moving models.
I actually think the frame fits the overall feeling of the picture.

Thanks everyone... I agree with the eye lighting... the sun was high over their left... I probably should have had them facing the sun to bring up the eyes a bit more. Also, that affect darkens the eyes.

I'm finding that frames/mats & vignettes opinions are quite varied on this board... which is okay... it's always good to hear another opinion

Obviously, it is subjective and personal taste. That is the beauty of what we do.... some people love something that other people hate. We all develop a style and it fits some tastes and not others. C'est la vie.....
