Wish I knew how to fix it....lol

Maybe I should of used the on camera flash...

With the Exif data required by the forum rules, it's hard to be specific, but here goes.

This picture could use a bit of fill. Shooting into the sun is one of the few times that on-camera flash can give you decent results, but a bounce card could have given you a useful effect as well.

Other things I would suggest:

Your color balance is very blue, I'd suggest warming this up in post.In future, if you're shooting in .jpg, I'd recommend choosing a daylight or cloudy white balance.

The subject is pretty much directly in the center of the frame. If you frame with the subject a bit to one side, the composition is usually more pleasing. Generally, you want the extra space to be in front of the subject (camera left here).

The right had and foot of your grandson are clipped by the edge of the frame. I'd recommend composing the photo so that this doesn't happen. (Framing the photo so he is to the camera right side of the frame would solve both this issue and the previous one here.)
