This is a picture I took yesterday and I need to know if it is totally weird and what needs to be fixed. Is it to dark? Do I need to take some of the blacks out? Is it over exposed? I am new and I kinda like this picture but not sure what everyone else will think




Any advise would be GREAT!!

The composition is kinda neat, some will like it, some will hate it.... that's the beauty of art. I would probably start the crop on the left at her arm to have it leading you into the frame.

For me, the face in underexposed, and then you go to a totally blown out sky on the right. In this image, a bit of fill on the face would really help. Then you could have exposed for the sky, and brought up your subject to not have such a variance in ranges.

Thanks! I was kinda thinking that the face a little under exposed but was not real sure since I am still trying to get the hang of this. I will try to darken the background and lighten her face a little and see what I can come up with. Thanks for the advise!
