Hey all! This was my first attempt at shooting anything really, and it was a newborn shoot. Any feedback will help, I thank you all ahead of time.

As far as the composition and lighting, it looks really great! But, the post editing just doesn't work for me at all. The skin softening is a bit overdone, and uneeded to be honest for a baby. I'm not crazy about the selective color either. It all just looks a bit dull. It's a shame because the actual photograph is really good and impressive for a beginner. Do you mind posting the SOOC version?

Thanks for the compliments, but yes I see what your saying about the editing. Thanks for the input. This was my first shoot, and I really do not have much experience with photoshop. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

No problem! First off, I hope you don't mind, but I did a little edit of it for you. You did well with the picture, so you could really go any way with editing. Also, I have a question, what did you do in order to get that sort of 'looking down on her' POV, I really like it, but I don't how to go about getting it.

Thumbs up

I just stood a little in front of the basket and I have a canon T3i with a flipout lcd so i could place it as high as I could reach and still see to take the picture. But the edit looks nice, what did you do?
