Default Portrait of Kyla

So I did another portrait shoot yesterday. We shot at the "golden hour" and this is one of the results I got. I'm looking for critique on lighting, color balance, the model's expression, and the composition of the shot.

Lovely, I wouldn't change a thing. Nicely done!

this was my favorite from your SYS post. If anything I might bring up the exposure a bit. Also a little dodging under the chin...bring out a little shadow detail in the neck/lower hair area...really subtle amount.

I agree about the exposure, needs to be brought up..
plus, you need to fix her skin tone, it seems to be too red.

Others are right. Bump the exposure just a tad and try a little less red in her skin.

For natural light, this is beautiful. You caught it just at the right time. I tend to disagree with bumping up your exposure. You're going risk blowing some areas that are already well lit on her face. Instead, you might try just a simple reflector directly beneath her to fill in some of those shaded spots. Just a thought.

FWIW, I don't think you necessarily need to either bring up the exposure generally or add fill light. The shadows work pretty well to define the shape of the face and add drama to the photo. That said, I think you could get a very nice picture with more low fill, too.

I would probably cool off the photo just a bit.

Very nice composition, nicely chosen model, this is really quite a nice photograph.
