I have tried a lot with this picture. And it is currently in this state, high-key b&w and slight crop. The model had some sunburn and her skin was peeling, so I have had alot of trouble getting her skin looking human and ended up with this.
![]() What to do differently next time. How to get a better pose? What do you guys and girls do with instructing for poses? It was my first ever model shoot so I am quite the novice and any help will be greatly appreciated. I have other shots from the day that I will work with. I don't really know why this was the first I started working on aside from she being the girl I had least pictures of (Shot 5 models over an afternoon together with other photographers) |

The way she is sitting makes a "fold" on her neck that makes her look fat, when in fact she is quite normal sized.
I have also had to "liquefy" her face and pinch the right chin (The one to the left) because her jaw bone visible on that side and not the other made it look unsymmetrical. |

I am very new too but, I can tell you the great things about this photo. Her eyes and hair 'pop' perfectly. Don't be afraid to tell your model/client what to do. They would rather move around a lot than get poor photos.
