Default I'm sure you'll be able to tell I'm very new at this...

I've been playing around on my camera incessently the past few weeks, and have been trying to figure everything out. Please let me know what's good and bad about this picture. Thank you!

It's overexposed in parts, but besides that I really like it. The face painting, and the overall mood and color makes it look really vintage. Which I can dig.

it's overexposed, you chopped of her hands, you can't really see what she's doing.. and yet - I like it
for next time, getting her chair in the photo is useless (that blue thing on the right). take your camera a bit to the left and that way you'll get her hands in the picture as well so we could see what she's so concentrated about.
as for the overexposure, you've got a problem here which you can't solve unless you're using a flash or a reflector to fill the shadows. I would have tried using the pop-up flash on it's lowest power to fill the shadows without killing that beautiful backlight.

like I said before, it has it's issues but I still really like it!

There's a lot of things wrong with this picture... but somehow it just "works".

I actually love it because of some of it's flaws, not despite it lol!

I guess rules are really meant to be broken!
