New here... first post..

This is my first post so if I am missing anything let me know.

This was a quick shot I grabbed of my son at a local fair. Any kind of advice welcome. What would you have done differently? Is the crop ok? Any editing I should do? I am looking forward to learning from you all. Thanks in advance for any help!

First of all, welcome to DPS. I think you need to straighten the picture. Look at the building; it seems to be falling to the right. I'd crop to the tree on the left. There's also like a beam of light cutting across; it's kind of distracting. I see a hint of magenta on the child's face, and there's a hot spot on his head. Try to focus on the eyes. It's a good shot for being your first attempt, and let me tell you that you're off to a better start than I was. I've been here for over a year, and still haven't been able to post a picture. You've been here for a couple of days and already figured out how to post pictures.

Thank you Tito. Good suggestions I can work with. I did realize the building was crooked but decided to leave it because I liked the sort of topsy-turvy feeling going with the ride/carnival theme. I can certainly straighten it if it doesn't work. Off to play more with it now.
