Default my daughter part 3

part 3 of the series..

this time with a wide angle shot... goal is to get the feeling of the bubbles angling off to the top right frame... i think i messed up on the exposure since i'm just using a cpl instead of the nd8 here... hence the bright blown out spots on some parts of the pict... is blown areas distracting... and i just noticed a skewered head again..

is the flaws distracting or am i being just too critical?

Exposure 0.005 sec (1/200)
Aperture f/1.4
Focal Length 24 mm
ISO Speed 100

I would try darkening the background a bit in PP. maybe it's the choice of the colors in her dress but it feels like she's not that separated from the background.
another issue is the bubbles. you're saying you wanted the bubbles to fade in the upper right corner but the bubble are mostly just blurs. you're using a very shallow DOF here which causes the bubbles to blur very quickly as they leave focused area.
last thing, I get the feeling the picture is tilting and not really straight.. am I right?

Hi Mr Jones..

i think the blown out shirt and the blown out grass is what makes her not seperated from the background... the blurring of the bubbles are intentional... as i want it to act as a leading line somewhat instead of a competing subject if they are sharp... though i think you are right that they are now too blurred to the point of not being quite visible... should've increase the ap slightly..

the slight tilt... i'm unsure... it might coz i dont have a horizon line... but it can also be the effect of a curved hedges... are you seeing it as tilted to the right or left?

I think you're right about the blown out areas..
as for the tilt, it feels like it's tilting right but again, it might just be the curved hedges.

thanx Mr Jones... i tried fixing it, but i guess it's never going to be a super star pic anyway... i think i'll live with the flaws for now and work on it with fresh eyes when i got around to it... appreciate your input as always!
