Hi all!
I have been away from the forums a while as our baby girl was born ![]() Here is a "portrait" of her feet whil she was sleeping the other day. I am looking for your feedback on the composition of the photograph and on does it generate the "awww" emotion ![]() I haven't had the time to run it through photoshop, I only now realise how little time you have for hobbies once kids arrive, but I plan to edit it a little more in the future, so just a Lightroom correction for now. Any suggestion on editing the photograph are more than welcome! First of all, I'm obsessed with baby feet! Love their little toes, so cute. I agree that while I think it does have the awe factor, I think bare baby feet gives a little more punch. For example, here's a photo from my Memorial Day weekend 1st Birthday shoot. I couldn't get enough
![]() I think that if he would have had socks on, it wouldn't have been as cute Nice shot though!

And I agree about the baby photography part! I have never been more trigger happy with my camera than these past three weeks since she came into our lives! There just hasn't been any time to edit the photos lol! It will come I am sure!Do you have a link to a gallery with your niece? Just to steal some ideas with pride? :P Quote:

As I wrote above, I will try to get some baby foot camera action but I just didn't have the heart to wake her up for this photo. Thank you all for your suggestions and comments!

Congrats!
IMO, it could almost be just a pile of fabrics as the baby's face is very out of focus and not very prominent. If it were bare feet I think it would work much better, or possibly if taken from a little higher with all of the baby in view.

Susan, Great link you posted there! Some amazing ideas to steal with pride for the family phot album! ![]() Sk66, I see where you are coming from I will try a different angle next time when a similar situation offers itself. I just didn't have the heart to go and explore around her as she had just gone to sleep. I want to achieve a shallower DOF on the head focusing on the feet. I guess I went in a bit too low maybe
