Default Critique this wedding shot please

I am looking for CC on my processing, not really composition and all of that, because that part is what it is. This spot and the aisle were the only spots that the priest would allow me to be during the ceremony.

for critique

From the raw file, I adjust WB, bumped up the exposure just a little, used a desaturating brush on her dress, added vibrance and clarity, then ran it through noiseware. larger image can be viewed on flickr if needed.
Do you see anything else that needs to done? Any other suggestions in general?
I have LR 3 and PSE 9.

Thanks so much.

My settings were iso 1600, 1/125, f 2.8

Skin tones are a bit on the red side. I'd do a color balance layer and decrease the reds a bit. Maybe the magentas, too, hard to tell at this size. Good job on all the other work, particularly making the dress white!

ETA: Just looked at the larger version on Flickr. I'd sharpen it up a bit too - the bride's face is really soft. It would be fine for a small print, but probably too soft for anything over a 5x7.

I feel like I'm playing a game of "What's different about these two pictures." I'm not seeing much of a difference in your edit.

Look at the front of the dress, particularly the lower portion.

Personally I would like to see more detail in his black clothes. Taking the red out of her dress was a good move IMO. If I had my way about it - I'd edit out the woman with the baby and the stick in his back.

No offense but I see the difference, the original has more red in the white dress and her skin, the second has more white in the dress, the pic wasn't too bad to start, it looks nice with what you did. I'm not sure what your thoughts are on Vignettes, but sometimes when the background is kinda plain or boring a vignette, or bokeh looks nice, if you use photoshop it is easy to make a new layer blur the bottom layer and mask so the subject of in focus, otherwise OnOne has a nice program to help do it for ya . yal probably all already know that but what the heck

Just wondering, did that shot really have an aperture of 2.8? It looks like it was maybe set to 10 or 11.

Yeah, it was. I was about 15 feet away from them when I shot this though, probably that is why the background is like that.

is cropping part of post processing?

i find the image to be really loose... but the back ground isn't helping it any as you've said so yourself..

Nicole, I like what you've done with your edit, her dress looks much brighter and whiter in the edited shot. The one thing I notice that I don't like is that open door in the back. The bright yellow light from it runs into the brides head. Unfortunately I'm not a photoshop expert so I don't know what the best steps would be to tone that down a bit but there must be something???
