Default too cropped?

picture of my little cousin. did not showing the rest of the head affect the strength of the image and the composition?

please provide your EXIF data so we can help you better.
I don't mind the crop that much, you have bigger issues here:
you missed the focus. his eyes are soft and the focus is on his shirt instead of his eyes.
the picture is just too busy. the pole on the right, the pavement in the back and the feet on the right just make it too busy. it could have worked with a shallow DoF to blur everything out in the background.
another issue is the exposure, he is a bit underexposed and the white balance seems to be off. his skin color looks a bit green.
I don't mind the head chopping but he doesn't seem comfortable in that pose. did he choose it naturally or is it a posed photo?

first of all thank you for the critique , i really appreciate all your input.
this was one of earlier photos and i really had problems with the focus and i am working hard to improve focus and exposure in my photos. the pose was natural.
