Default Couple on a bridge

most of my pictues are just average nothing to say wow about, unlike the ones i have seen in here. This one i took while in the mountains of North Carolina i know the picture is just a every day pic but i would like to know what you think about the composition it was took in auto mode but now i am trying to get away from that

I dont have much to say but the first thing that pops up to me is that it could use some streightening up To my taste I think its a lil too busy..I like the out of focus backrounds aspecialy in shots like these , I do like the idea of the shot.

Nice composition, wrong time of the day. As it is, your couple here is under exposed while the rest of the image is either properly exposed or a little blown out. Minus some off camera lighting, your next best thing is to shoot this under cloudy skies or wait until later in the evening. It's all about the light.

EDIT: After looking at it again, a better comp might be to shoot in portrait orientation, get lower to the water, and use that little stream as a leading line to the couple. Just another element that might make an improvement.

this was one of them shot it right now shoots and it was in the middle of the day. I didnt think about the stream o-well maybe next time

Photography has helped me become aware of my surroundings in a different way. I find myself looking for leading lines, objects of interest, etc...
