Default Teary son #4

This is son number four. Not sure if I've over processed this or not. Suspect a vignette might have improved it but it does have somewhat of a natural one on the left hand side. And maybe the strap on the right hand side is distracting?

I need a hug!

To me, the most distracting thing is the tight crop on the bottom. To me it's never a good idea to crop off the chin. Top of the head is ok, chin not. Plus with his hand in the mouth I would have wanted to see more of the hand.
Even though I know (and agree with) you wanted to focus in on the emotion with your tight crop, it's the crop itself that is most distracting to me.

Gee, he really didn't want his photo taken

Agree with Fuzzy and scooter. An emotive image!

Thanks all. Looking at the photo after your comments I agree. Looking back through my photos, I tend to cut the chin off quite a bit so valuable lesson. I guess there's a tight crop and then there's what I've been doing! Lol

Bruce, it wasn't so much that he didn't want his photo taken but more that he had his foot run over by a scooter at the local skate park.. Had actually been hugging him for a couple of minutes before this but he was tired and ready to go home. :-)

I was kidding Bob, hope his foot healed okay. And times like that kids need a hug - good for you.

I really like the emotion here, but I agree with others on the crop. I can't tell if that's his hand in his mouth or someone is punching him in the mouth...
