Post B&W Portrait of a Friend

Pragnesh_B&W Portrait

I shot this originally in Sepia(JPEG) & then processed to black & white. Applied soft glow effect in GIMP and also played a bit with curves. Being shot at from a very close distance due to low light to get f/2.8 there is some distortion visible. Some folks complained about the highlights on face not looking good. What do you guys feel about the photograph?

I really like it! Can't see much wrong at all tbh.

Only thing I would suggest is that he removes his watch next time as its a little distracting, and without it you'd have more symmetry.

But yeah overall i think its a really good shot, and I especially like the crisp sharp focus on the eyes, as they really draw you in to the picture

The watch is indeed distracting. I noticed it just now. Thank you for the good comments.
