Default Any room for improvement?

This is one of my best portraits in recent times in my opinion. While I am very much satisfied with it, I always believe there is room for improvement. Please let know if something could have been done better.

Sony A 330, 50mm/1.8 prime, f2.2, 1/60s, ISO100, center weighted, No flash, No compensation.
The picture was a little dark, and so brightened it a little. Also upped the contract a notch.

I think the composition works. The bright colors of her clothing contrast with the dark rocks to the left and the greens in the background. I'm a little surprised at the bokeh from a 50mm on a crop sensor at f/2.2. I'd expect the background to be softer and more blurred.

You said the image was dark, I'd say it was and still is a bit under exposed. It also looks like it might be a bit on the cool side. Not sure what you're editing images with, but a bump up in the exposure and a little warming in the white balance would make this better, IMO.

Also I'd dodge out the dark bags under her eyes, and the smile shadows on the cheeks and clone out the teeth.

Having the barrel of flowers in focus would have really helped seperate the forground from the back too, but its not bad the way it is either.

your background is too busy. I find myself looking around her instead of at her. She seems to be looking down or below the camera. It would look better if she was looking directly in the camera/down at her hands/or up at the sky. The lighting looks good.
