Default Too dark?

So this is actually the first picture i'm posting on here and I took this picture of my niece the other day and after editing it for awhile and coming to my end result it just doesn't look right to me. I'm thinking maybe it's too tinted around her face /too dark? Any ideas and feedback are much appreciated! And sorry if I didn't post properly! haha Thank-You!

Hi & welcome.

Can you add your exif data too (it helps with cc and for learning )

The challenge you have it the bright light to her left. Without taking two exposures (too much work - snore) or something to reflect light back into her face, you were always going to struggle with this one.

If you look closely, you will see that frustratingly the focus has fallen on her hat - grrrrr so her eyes are slightly soft grrrr.

What is with the Panda thingy? Very pretty girl and if the light was not so direct, I think it could be a really lovely portrait.

there is a greenish cast. the hair is blown out. next time, with this kind of lighting, at least use a fill in light, or a reflector to have more light on her face to balance a bit the high contrast lighting. you can still pp this but you have good pp skills.

Your exif data is stored within the photo. It tells you your shutter speed, ISO, focal length and so on. If you have the photo uploaded to flickr you can find the exif data there.

there are a few ways you can correct this. use your flash. you might have to test different power settings. use a reflector like said, and also you could use a diffuser. so one of those would help. Other than that, try shooting where you aren't getting direct light.
