Default Thoughts?

Model:NIKON D60
Shutter Speed:1/8 second
Aperture:F/3.5
Focal Length:18 mm
ISO Speed:100

Hey folks, Thanks for taking the time to look at least but I was wondering if I could get just a bit of input.

I don't usually skin soften but as close as this was to my face I felt that it needed a bit, it's not to much is it?
Also is the iris to dark?
And what's your thoughts on composition? I wanted a tight half face crop, do you think it works?

Thanks!!

You've lost a bit of texture with the softening in your cheek. It isn't objectionable to me though. The composition is fine and the overall sharpening around the eye is a bit much. The iris isn't too dark as it balances with the tonal range of the photograph. Nice work.

at first I thought it's a very cool picture and it is, the only thing that bothers me is that a picture like that needs to be taken straight on facing the camera.
here the camera is a bit to your right side and that's why we're seeing your whole chin instead of just half of it.
