very new to photography
this is a friend i work with...she let me take some pics of her just for fun...i just got my first camera, its a cannon t2i, just something to play around with and learn....i have no remote flashes, filters, lens hood or anything extra yet as I just dont know enough about it all to know what i need. I've uploaded a pic that we took that day and any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

lol i really dont know why the pole is leaning to be honest...it was on a slight hill...im guess they just put it there like that...haha...i dont know...but thanks

Very nice and so is your model. #1 needs straightening and #2 the focus is bit soft on her face. Otherwise well done
