Default Grrrr Colour!!!!

Colour drives me potty! My old camera only seemed to need a slight tweak and the colour was there. With the new one I keep messing and messing. The colour always looks OK until I revisit the image the next day

Dribble over - how is the colour on this one? I am thinking of putting it on the wall so all cc very welcome.

Exposure 0.005 sec (1/200)
Aperture f/3.5
Focal Length 155 mm
ISO Speed 400

the photo looks a bit pale, desaturated a bit.
I would warm it up, add contrast and adjust the exposure to work with the first two.
it's a lovely picture!

It is a very nice image although I agree that it's a little pale, particularly in the child hair. Also the green in the upper left corner seems to slightly unbalance the image. The other background areas are not as strong. It's a very minor point and had you not specifically asked for comments on colour I'd have not mentioned it.

Another very minor point but I'd also possibly move the watermark lower in the image. It's in danger of becoming part of the image where it is at the moment.

Otherwise I think you've got the image spot on.

Hi Tia,

The colors look fine to me. Are they 100% accurate, maybe not, but are they nice and appropriate to the image, in my opinion, yes.
They fit that nice glowy feel of this image.
I think some of the paleness in her skin actually helps her eyes pop out at you.

I might.. might, consider adding a bit of contrast (via Clarity in LR),but I'm not even sure about that to be honest.

The only issue I do have is the dead center composing.. but that's me just being picky (ie being me).

All-in-all, it's a great image that'd look great on the wall... I thin this would be nice as a canvas as well!

EDIT: I'm assuming NO watermark on the print..right?

It is driving me bonkers this one!
As was....

Strong contrast bump only...

bump yellow and strong contrast from medium...

????????
Al yep not watermark on print lol. Also normally the central would bother me, but as there is nothing to take away either side, for me this works on this occasion. We get so used to seeing things in thirds, I thought I would try diagonals which I am using more and more now. I think her eyes hold your gaze on this one?

I like the last one as it's not too contrasty, but still punched up a bit (at least on my non-calibrated work monitor which, in its defense, seems to work well).

I agree, as I said, I was being very picky about the centered things. The eyes are captivating and work well with a centered placement. I think you're good to go.. print it.

I think the color looks fine. The background does have a yellow hue to it, but it isn't projected on her shirt or sweater. Both of those things look pretty true to color. Nice shot!
