Default Playing with light

Took this shot of my son at dusk on 4th of July - he was patiently (?) waiting for it to get dark enough to light fireworks. I love it, but not sure if thats just because I seldom get pix of him where he's not looking disgusted with me, or if its really a cool photo. Would like your feedback and suggestions to do more shots like this.

Unfortunately, your shot was exposed for the sky (or the flame) and his face is entirely too dark.

I have CS5 - do you think this is a correctable issue? I kinda thought the darkness of the face made it more interesting - my bad, I guess.

Yeah i think his face is a bit dark also. I am just learning about metering and light and etc etc so can't give you any tips. It is a cool shot tho.
