Girl and Dog

Ok this is my first post!!! I'll take any kind of advice or critique.

Okay so this is me and my dog, Payton. I took this using a tripod so its not like the greatest.

it was very bright out.



Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I'm sure someone will be along shortly to tell you to crop this way or that to get rule of thirds, or that the horizon line going through your head is distracting. Whatever. I dig this image. The rim light, the shadows, the triangle formed by you and Payton, the expression. It works for me. Good job.

First thought I had was "wow, lovely light"... works all around. Sometimes all that other crap don't matter, it's about how it feels, and to me, this image portrays to me that nice chilled relaxed feel of the day.. even without warm colors. Well done.

My first thought was to mention shooting into the light like that, but then I looked at it again and thought it worked to your advantage.
