Hello everyone!
This is my first post to the forums and I wanted to start with one of my favorite photos from my first wedding shoot. This is one of my closest friends and her daughter. Canon EOS REBEL T3i 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II 55mm @ 5.6 1/30s Aperture-priority AE This was also the first time extensively using a speedlite. I rented a 430EX, and in this room I was bouncing the flash off of the ceiling, since I didn't have a diffuser. Looking at the picture now, I think the faces turned out a bit dark since all of the light was behind them and from top. I'm open to any suggestions and feedback

man.. I wish I had the courage to take up a wedding shoot. I've been shooting small events for some time now with a bag full of PRO equipment and still, just the thought of taking on a wedding make my legs shake
![]() anyway, 1. you need to straighten the photo, it's a bit off.. look at the window lines. 2. you've got a terrible motion blur due to the shaking of your hands at 1/30 of a shutter speed. 3. the candles sticking out of the brides head is.. well let's just say - not flattering. 4. the camera managed to balance between the white dress and the background but you were left with underexposed faces and more important - eyes. 5. as for the flash - it depends on the height of the ceiling and the angle of the flash but it is possible that you've bounced most of the light behind them. just a suggestion here, but if you're doing it as a job and intend to continue shooting weddings - invest in the 580EX II which is a much more powerful flash and some faster lenses.
